Abstract
Granulado regenerado resistente al fuego procedente de material refractario de derribo y/o usado, preparado mecánicamente, cuyas partículas llevan un recubrimiento superficial de un medio hidrófobo que consta de a) un agente hidrofobante o b) una combinación de una resina fenólica y un endurecedor de la misma, de modo que el granulado tiene en concreto c) un valor de pH entre 6 y 12 para materiales ricos en arcilla y entre 9 y 12 para materiales magnesíticos en un medio acuoso, d) una resistencia a la compresión del grano según norma DIN 4226 parte 3 o EN 13055-1/2002 comprendida entre 8 y 150 N/mm2.

El método de la presente invención para elaborar un granulado regenerado según la misma consiste en recubrir un material refractario arrancado o usado, reacondicionado mecánicamente, con un medio de recubrimiento en un
10 mezclador, efectuando los pasos siguientes: a) se selecciona un granulado regenerado reacondicionado cuya resistencia a la compresión del grano esté comprendida entre 8 y 150, sobre todo entre 15 y 100 N/mm2, b) las partículas del granulado escogido se recubren
b1) con un agente hidrofobante 15 o
b2) con una resina fenólica y un endurecedor de la misma, c) se escoge un medio de recubrimiento que garantice para el granulado recubierto un valor de pH entre 6 y 9, sobre todo entre 6 y 8,5 para materiales ricos en arcilla y entre 9 y 12 para materiales magnesíticos, en un medio acuoso.
20 También es ventajoso determinar la resistencia al desgaste del granulado preparado mecánicamente, tomando una parte del mismo antes de recubrirlo en un mezclador como el previsto para llevar a cabo el recubrimiento y antes de emplearlo en la elaboración de una mezcla seca de fábrica destinada a productos no moldeados resistentes al fuego, y mezclándolo en el mezclador durante una tiempo prefijado para comprobar luego la resistencia al desgaste
25 o elegir el agente hidrofobante del grupo de los polímeros de silicio, de modo que tenga preferiblemente un contenido de agua entre 0 y 80, sobre todo entre 30 y 70% en masa o secar el granulado recubierto hasta que su contenido residual de agua esté comprendido entre 0,0 y 0,5, sobre todo
30 entre 0,0 y 0,3% en masa o pulverizar el agente hidrofobante en el mezclador durante el mezclado o elegir una resina fenólica del grupo de los compuestos de resina fenólica
35 o introducir en el mezclador la resina fenólica fluida a temperaturas entre 0 y 200, sobre todo entre 0 y 140ºC o elegir un endurecedor de acuerdo con la correspondiente resina, p.ej. del siguiente grupo: hexametilentetramina (HEXA o urotropina), carbonato de propileno, ésteres dibásicos (DBE)
