Procedimiento para el tratamiento por vía húmeda de ropa en una lavadora de paso continuo que presenta un tambor (10) accionable en rotación con varias cámaras (18, 19, 20; 27, 26, 29; 36, 37, 38; 46, 47, 48; 56, 57, 58) sucesivas, por lo que la ropa se transporta en la dirección longitudinal del tambor (10) a través de las cámaras (18, 19, 20; 27, 28, 29; 36, 37, 38; 46, 47, 48; 56, 57, 58) sucesivas de una zona de prelavado (12), de una zona de lavado principal (13) y de una zona de aclarado (14) y en este caso se lava, aclara y eventualmente trata posteriormente, y al menos se efectúa un cambio de baño en la zona de aclarado (14), caracterizado porque sólo a una cámara (20, 29, 38, 48, 58) o sólo a una parte de las cámaras (20, 29, 38, 48, 58) de la zona de aclarado (14) se le asocia al menos un tambor exterior (16), y un cambio de baño sólo se efectúa en aquellas cámaras (20, 29, 38, 48, 58) de la zona de aclarado (14) a las que se les asocian tambores exteriores (16).
