Abstract

Método de preparación de un polímero de vinil arilo dilatable y auto-extintor, caracterizado porque comprende la integración con partículas del polímero de vinil arilo de un hidrocarburo alifático volátil con punto de ebullición comprendido entre -10 y 81ºC, caracterizado además por la suspensión de dichas partículas en un medio acuoso en presencia de por lo menos un 2% por peso de bromo, basado en el peso de dichas partículas, la activación del bromo en dicho medio por lo menos hasta que el color del medio cambie de naranja a un amarillo pálido, y la recuperación de dicho polímero del citado medio.
