Procedure for splicing electrical cables insulated with thermoplastic material, consisting of the following phases: bare heads of conductors; cone-shaped narrowing of its insulator; splicing the conductors by any known procedure; taped with non-adhesive tape of composition equal or substantially similar to that of the thermoplastic insulation of the conductors; taped with inextensible tape whose characteristics remain practically unchanged at the melting temperature of the material of which the tape is made; heating of the splicing zone at a temperature higher than that of softening the material of which the tape is made and subsequent cooling in a slow way; removal, if necessary, of the inextensible tape.
