Abstract
Un método para recibir contenido digital para un cambio de canal a un flujo de vídeo en tiempo real, comprendiendo el método: enviar, desde un receptor que tiene una memoria intermedia al lado de cliente, un comando a una fuente en respuesta a un cambio de canal desde un canal dado a un canal particular en el receptor, en donde el comando solicita contenido del canal particular y el canal particular incluye un programa que está en curso y en donde el cambio al canal particular incluye cambiar al programa; recibir, de la fuente en respuesta al envío del comando, en la memoria intermedia en el lado de cliente y a una tasa sustancialmente mayor que una tasa de reproducción de contenido de flujo continuo, un primer flujo de contenido en una primera conexión que transporta una señal (201) de canal de contenido que corresponde al contenido solicitado por el comando, la primera conexión es una conexión punto a punto y el primer flujo de contenido proporciona contenido retardado para el programa, donde el primer flujo de contenido recibido de la fuente proporciona una cantidad predefinida de contenido retardado para el programa, la cantidad predefinida ha sido determinada por la fuente para disminuir la intensidad de la fluctuación de fase durante la reproducción del contenido en la señal de canal de contenido en el lado del cliente; y recibir, desde la fuente y en la memoria intermedia al lado de cliente, un segundo flujo de contenido en una segunda conexión que transporta la señal de canal de contenido, en donde la segunda conexión es una de multidifusión, difusión y modo de transferencia asíncrono punto a multipunto y el segundo flujo de contenido proporciona contenido en tiempo real para el programa y se recibe en la memoria intermedia al lado de cliente sustancialmente a la tasa de reproducción (202), el segundo flujo de contenido recibido después de que la memoria intermedia al lado de cliente ha recibido la cantidad predefinida de contenido retardado para el programa en el primer flujo de contenido, en donde el contenido en tiempo real comienza sustancialmente en un punto en el programa en el que finaliza la cantidad predefinida de contenido retardado.
