Abstract
Un aparato para reemplazar un cable percutáneo (30; 130) en relación con un dispositivo vascular (15; 115), el aparato que comprende: un dispositivo vascular (15; 115) conectado a un cable percutáneo (30; 130); un acoplador de desconexión distal (35) en el cable percutáneo (30; 130) en una ubicación distal del dispositivo vascular (15; 115); una porción del conector distal (25) en la ubicación distal del cable percutáneo (30; 130), la porción del conector distal (25) configurada para una conexión desmontable con el acoplador de desconexión distal (35) con el fin de permitir la sustitución de al menos una porción del cable percutáneo (30; 130); y el aparato se caracteriza porque comprende adicionalmente: una tapa del conector (35A) configurada para la conexión desmontable con la porción del conector distal (25), la tapa del conector (35A) configurada para una tunelización a través de la piel y del papel tisú; en donde la tapa del conector (35A) se configura para su unión a la porción del conector distal (25) cuando el cable percutáneo (30; 130) se coloca a través de un punto de salida de un paciente, y la tapa del conector (35A) se configura para retirar la porción del conector distal (25) cuando el cable percutáneo (30; 130) se coloca a través del sitio de salida de un paciente y antes de unir el acoplador de desconexión distal (35) y la porción del conector distal (25) entre sí.
