Abstract

Locking device for a soffit of roller shutter drawer forming an inspection cover The invention relates to a roller shutter according to the preamble of claim 1.

The present invention is related to the field of roller blinds and more particularly relates to the retractable fixing of a soffit of the roller blind drawer that forms an inspection cover.

Usually, a roller shutter drawer has a front wall, a top wall, a back wall and a soffit, the latter delimiting with the front wall a groove of passage of the board provided to fold into the rolled position in this drawer. Access to the interior of the latter is possible thanks to the retraction of a defined inspection cover, as appropriate, by the rear wall and / or the soffit of said drawer.

Thus, when the latter is supported through its soffit in the frame of a door or window, usual in a new building, the inspection cover can only be defined by the back wall of said drawer.

On the other hand, when, on the contrary, said drawer does not rest on the carpenter, but is mounted on the exterior of the latter, a usual solution in case of renovation, or also when it is in the presence of a tunnel drawer that is inscribed in the albanilena instead of the lintel, it is common that the soffit, then accessible from this drawer, defines a retractable cover through which it is possible to assemble and disassemble the roller shutter board and its drive mechanism.

Different solutions have been adopted to ensure this fixation, in a retractable way, of said soffit. The most common is to provide the bottom edge of the rear wall of a hook-up profile, substantially C-shaped, in which the S-shaped bent edge of the soffit can be inserted and locked. The latter is also fixed at the level of its lateral eXtrems, substantially close to its leading edge, by means of screws that cooperate with fixing tongues from which the support side plates of said roller blind drawer are provided. It will be noted that such support side plates contribute to the rotation, at their ends, of the winding tube around which the roller blind panel is capable of being wound. To these support plates are also fixed manual or motorized drive means.

The placement of the above-mentioned fixing screws poses a problem, if we remember that this operation necessarily intervenes in height, on the outer side of the house. Not only does the operator usually have to force the grip of the self-drilling screws on these mounting tabs, but he also runs the risk of dropping a screw or a tool, forcing him to get off the scale on which he was , to try to find the lost object, which is not always easy in a construction site.

And then, since these screws are visible at the level of the face of the soffit, they are vulnerable in case of aggression carried out on the roller shutter, for example in case of attempted infiltration. They are also not very aesthetic and represent a risk of corrosion.

From document EP-1,336,716 a device for fixing a soffit in a roller shutter drawer tunnel is also known which gives the features of the preamble of claim 1 well-known. This device comprises a slide mounted axially movable in the soffit for, in a locked position, both extending over the inner face of this soffit and presenting projection with respect to the latter's side edges to be inserted into a housing that forms a strike that, on the inner side of the drawer, have lateral support plates . The slider engages aqrn with the front edge of the soffit, whose edge delimits the passage slot of the board, which makes this slide accessible for the locking and unlocking maneuver.

Although the disassembly of the soffit does not appear as clearly as in the case of the use of fixing screws, a quick inspection of the roller blind allows you to easily find the solution for this problem.

In addition, as can be seen from the preceding description, this fixing device requires the realization of housings that form a strike at the level of the lateral support plates to receive the sliding assimilable to a bolt. This obviously complicates the design of these support side plates. When the latter are not of a molded material, but made of stamped sheet, the realization of such housings may require the manufacture of specific pieces to be applied on these side support plates.

From document EP-0.740.045 a soffit fixing device is also known whose unlocking control can only be secured once the roller blind rolled in its drawer. More particularly, on the inner side of the drawer and on the front edge of the soffit a bolt is mounted whose latch is subjected to means

Elastic recoil in locked position. It can only be pushed into an unlocked position by means of a tool that cannot be placed while the blind is lowered.

Although this solution solves the problem of the security of opening of the soffit that forms an inspection cover, it will be observed that a roller shutter failure does not necessarily occur when the board is in its position rolled in the drawer. Therefore, an operator must be able to intervene at any time inside this drawer, which does not seem possible through this solution set out in this previous document.

It will also be noted that the bolt latch of which the soffit is provided cooperates in a locked position with a sleeve forming a lock provided on the inner side of the side support plate of this drawer. It is understood that the presence of such a strike modifies the design of this lateral support plate.

As a prior art, document FR-A-2,781,250 is known as a drawer for a roller blind that includes independent side plates and spaced apart by guide rails made for assembling the profiles capable of forming the body of the drawer. The side plates are designed to receive the lateral guide slides in which the lateral ends of the sheets that form the roller shutter board are displaced. The guide rails 3, 4 are mounted at the level of two opposite angles of the same side plate. One of these guide rails is designed in the form of independent rails that delimit between each other the groove for the passage of the board and of which one presents at each of its ends a profiled piece or tulip to avoid bending and buckling of the board .

The present invention aims to be able to solve the drawbacks of the above mentioned state of the art.

To this end, the invention relates to a roller blind according to claim 1.

The advantages that result from the present invention consist in that the pin that defines the slide, mounted mobile in translation on the leading edge of the soffit, once inserted in the mortise corresponding to the fitting profile, is easily distinguished from the latter. In particular, an unauthorized person cannot immediately identify the solution to unlock the soffit that forms an inspection lid.

The present invention will be better understood upon reading the following description relating to an exemplary embodiment illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 is a partial and sectional schematic representation of a roller shutter drawer, only the final sheet being shown on the board supported above.

Figure 2 is a partial schematic and perspective representation, seen from the inner side of the drawer, of the locking device according to the invention;

Figure 3 is a perspective view similar to Figure 2, said locking device being illustrated in the unlocked position;

Figure 4 is a partial schematic perspective view, seen from below, of Figure 2;

Figure 5 is a partial schematic perspective view, seen from below, of Figure 3.

As represented in the figures of the attached drawing, the present invention is related to the field of roller blinds.

In particular, a roller shutter 1 usually includes a board consisting of a juxtaposition of sheets at least articulated with respect to each other, so that it can be wound around a winding tube (not shown) that is positioned in a drawer 2.

With regard to said board, only the final laminate 3 has been represented in the different figures, in its position in support at the end of the folding stroke of said board in the drawer 2. As particularly visible, in particular in Figure 1 , this final sheet 3, in this position in support at the end of the race, remains partially inserted in the lateral grilles 4 that extend under the drawer and which, as its name indicates, ensure the guidance of the lateral ends of the Sheets of the board during the deployment and withdrawal maneuvers of the latter.

Returning to the drawer 2, the latter includes a front wall 5 and an upper wall 6, a rear wall 7 and a soffit 8. The latter delimits, with the front wall 5, a slot 9 for the passage of the board, knowing that under said groove and at the lateral ends of the drawer 2 extend said lateral grids 4.

In the extension of the latter, inside the drawer 2, support side plates 10 are positioned that contribute to the maintenance in rotation at its ends of the board winding tube. Very often, on these support side plates the walls 5, 6, 7 of the drawer 2 are fixed, but also the manual or motorized actuation means of the roller blind.

The invention relates more particularly to a locking device 11 of the soffit 8 in the case where the latter forms an inspection cover for accessing the interior of the drawer 2.

In fact, this soffit 8 cooperates at the rear edge 12, through engaging means 13, with the lower edge 14 of the rear wall 7. These engaging means can adopt a known embodiment.

As visible in particular in Figure 1, the lower edge 14 of the rear wall 7 in the form of a sheet can be folded in a C-shape for insertion of the S-folded back edge 12 of the soffit 8. However , within the framework of a drawer 2 of roller shutter 1 formed from plastic walls, in particular extruded, these engaging means can adopt a different embodiment.

In any case, as for the blocking device 11 according to the invention, this includes a slide 15 designed to be movable mounted on the leading edge that delimits the groove 9 of the soffit 8. This slide 15 is defined capable of being inserted, by sliding in the manner of a spike in a shroud, on a socket profile 17 of which an inlet 18 is advantageously provided 18. More particularly, such a inlet 18, called a tulip, is located above the end of a side face 4, in particular to favor the insertion of the sheets of the board in said grains, during the closing of the roller shutter 1.

Such a gate 18 can be designed in different ways. In fact, it is very often an injection molded part that is fixed on said grille 4 or on a side support plate 10. Therefore, it is particularly easy to associate, from the moment of molding this inlet. of grind 18, the fit profile 17 which then results from the same manufacturing process.

Therefore, it should be noted that the present invention is not limited in any way to this solution. In particular, the fitting profile 17 can be made independently of a grinding inlet 18 for further application thereon, in particular by screwing, anchoring, gluing, welding or the like.

To return to the slide 15, the latter includes a hook rail 19 through which it is designed to be slidably mounted on the leading edge 16 of the soffit 8. In particular, according to the design of the soffit 8, this hook rail 19 is adapted to said leading edge 12 of the latter. Thus, in the solution corresponding to the attached drawing, the soffit 8, which results from a folded sheet, on the leading edge 16 involves a pad-shaped bent 20 to which the coupling rail 19 is adapted. In addition, the latter can be provided to be inserted longitudinally or fitted to the leading edge 16 of the soffit 8.

If necessary, it is possible to dislodge the soffit of the slide 15 to access the inside of the drawer 2. This opening solution by means of disengagement will be more particularly chosen by the operator in case the slide 15 cannot be released from the fitting profile 17.

In sum, this solution allows the operator to offer a double possibility of opening drawer 2 in case of an after-sales intervention.

Returning to the embodiment of the slide 15, the latter can have, in its longitudinal direction, a T-shaped groove 21 to which the section of the fitting profile 17 is adapted. Obviously, other embodiments available to the expert in the art they can be considered. In addition, in an inverted embodiment, the hooking profile 17 may involve the T-shaped groove to which the

sliding 15.

As set out above, the control of the slide 15 for its movement on the leading edge 17 of the soffit 8 must be possible, however without being obvious. In addition, this slide 15 advantageously has a control notch 22 on its side 23 outside the drawer 2. In particular, this notch 22 is located

preferably immediately beyond the leading edge 16 of the soffit 8. It thus allows an operator to push this slider 15 to control the release of the locking device 11 by means of a simple screwdriver.

As is visible in Figure 4, the notch 22 can be substantially defined by a shoulder 24 at the level of this outer side 23 of the slide 15.
