Abstract
Un codificador de audio para codificar una señal de entrada de audio (195), estando la señal de entrada de audio en un primer dominio, que comprende: una primera ramificación de codificación (400) para codificar una señal de audio utilizando un primer algoritmo de codificación para obtener una primera señal codificada; una segunda ramificación de codificación (500) para codificar una señal de audio utilizando un segundo algoritmo de codificación para obtener una segunda señal codificada, donde el primer algoritmo de codificación es diferente del segundo algoritmo de codificación; y un primer conmutador (200) para conmutar entre la primera ramificación de codificación y la segunda ramificación de codificación de modo que, para una porción de la señal de entrada de audio, ya sea la primera señal codificada o la segunda señal codificada está comprendida en una señal de salida del codificador, en el que la segunda ramificación de codificación comprende: un convertidor (510) para convertir la señal de audio en un segundo dominio diferente del primer dominio, una primera ramificación de procesamiento (522) para procesar una señal de audio en el segundo dominio para obtener una primer señal procesada; una segunda ramificación de procesamiento (523, 524) para convertir una señal de audio en un tercer dominio diferente del primer dominio y del segundo dominio y para procesar la señal en el tercer dominio para obtener una segunda señal procesada; y un segundo conmutador (521) para conmutar entre la primera ramificación de procesamiento (522) y la segunda ramificación de procesamiento (523, 524) de modo que, para una porción de la entrada de la señal de audio en la segunda ramificación de codificación, ya sea la primera señal procesada o la segunda señal procesada está comprendida en la segunda señal codificada.
