Un método que comprende: la localización, en una señal de origen (202), de un disparador de inserción de contenido de la señal de origen, siendo la señal de origen una señal de vídeo; la determinación de una posición de disparo en la señal de origen en la que se encuentra el disparador de inserción de contenido de la señal de origen, estando la posición de disparo especificada por un solo fotograma, comprendiendo la determinación de la posición de disparo la obtención de un recuento de fotogramas para la señal de origen que identifica la posición de disparo; la transcodificación de la señal de origen para obtener una señal de salida (204), siendo la señal de salida una señal digital; la localización, en la señal de salida, de la posición de disparo, comprendiendo la localización de la posición de disparo: mantener un recuento de fotogramas de los fotogramas salidos durante la transcodificación; y hacer corresponder el recuento de fotogramas de los fotogramas salidos durante la transcodificación con la posición de disparo identificada por el recuento de fotogramas para la señal de origen; y la inserción en la señal de salida, en la posición de disparo, de un disparador de inserción de contenido de la señal de salida.
