Abstract

Procedimiento de fabricación de sodio en estado muy puro por electrolisis de baños de sales fundidas, caracterizado porque se somete a la electrolisis, a una temperatura inferior a 700ºC y a una tensión 5-7 voltios, un baño de sales fundidas constituido por x molécula gramo % de cloruro de sodio, y molécula grano % de cloruro de litio y z molécula gramo % de por lo menos una sal elegida entre el cloruro de potasio, el cloruro de rubidio y el cloruro de cesio, estando comprendida la proporción x:y entre 0,7 y 4,0 y la proporción z:y entre 0,1 y 2.
