Un procedimiento gametocida selectivo para inducir esterilidad macho en formas cultivadas de la especie Beta vulgaris, L. Caracterizado por plantar por lo menos dos poblaciones de formas cultivadas de la especie Beta vulgaris, L. en relación próxima mutua, pero suficientemente separadas para permitir el tratamiento de una población seleccionada sin exposición sustancial de la otra, comprendiendo dicho tratamiento la aplicación a dicha población seleccionada antes de su floración, de una composición que contiene un agente selectivo productor de gametocida.
