Abstract

Método para la producción en masa de objetos huecos de vidrio, tales como ampollas para lámparas eléctricas incandescentes, en que son cortadas porciones de una cantidad de vidrio que sale de un alimentador y son suministradas a portadores provistos con una abertura central en sus bases, siendo sometidas estas porciones, después que su parte central ha descendido a través de la abertura en la base de cada portador, a un tratamiento de conformación, caracterizado porque un alimentador que tiene una abertura de salida de una sección transversal alargada suministran al mecanismo de corte una corriente de vidrio, igualmente de sección transversal alargada, cuya dimensión longitudinal es transversal a la dirección de desplazamiento de los portadores por debajo y a lo largo del mecanismo cortador, estando sincronizado el movimiento cortador con el movimento de los portadores de modo que las marcas de corte que se producen en las porciones de vidrio, siempre quedan ubicadas a los costados de la abertura en un portador.
