Abstract
Fuel pump for internal combustion engines, of the type comprising a cylinder having in its wall a fuel inlet opening, a piston with a helical groove in its periphery and means for varying the angular adjustment of the piston in order to vary the amount of fuel supplied by the pump; characterized by comprising in combination: a sleeve that slides around the end of the cylinder; a shoulder on the outside of the sleeve; an annular stop plate supported on the shoulder; a spring that surrounds the cylinder and rests at one end on the plate; a key retained in place by the plate and entering a longitudinal groove of the cylinder, and in a hollow of the sleeve to prevent relative angular movement, and a radial part at the end of the piston, to transmit angular movements to it; and arranged so that when the spring moves the sleeve, the movement is transmitted to the piston through the radial part.
