Abstract
Mejoras introducidas en el objeto de la Patente principal nº 252.259, o sea, en un "Aparato para estirar vidrio en láminas", según las cuales dicho aparato comprende una cámara de estirado que tiene una abertura en comunicación con la atmósfera, a través de la cual el vidrio plano es estirado desde un baño de vidrio fundido y en la cual hay enfriadores espaciados por encima del baño sustancialmente paralelos a la hoja y medios de obstáculo que se extienden en esencia a lo ancho de la hoja de vidrio y dentro de la cámara entre cada enfriador y la hoja de vidrio y/o quemadores dentro de la cámara de estirado espaciados por encima del baño y de la trayectoria recorrida por la hoja a lados opuestos de la misma, con sus llamas ajustadas para proyectarse en general en la dirección del estirador, reduciendo dichos obstáculos y/o dichos quemadores de modo controlable la velocidad diferencial de aire que fluye hacia arriba por el tiro natural creado entre cada enfriador yla hoja de vidrio, de maneraque se forme un flujo gaseoso unidireccional que sirve como envolvente protectora para dicho vidrio, en el cual los obstáculos entre el enfriador y la hoja de vidrio comprenden una parte adyacente al enfriador y espaciada del borde del obstáculo junto a la hoja de vidrio que tiene medios de enfriamiento en ella, o caracterizado pro obstáculos adyacentes a los quemadores para estabilizar las llamas producidas por ellos.
