Abstract

This measuring device allows the simultaneous measurement of 10 dimensions of a hand quickly, easily and accurately. It is made up of a frame, which has guides that point where to place the hand. The object of the present invention is a manual anthropometer that allows the simultaneous measurement of 10 dimensions of a hand in a quick, easy and precise way. On the face of the obverse measures the right hand and on the back the left hand. It is made up of a frame, which has guides that point where to place the hand. By means of the use of measurement indicators that move through 6 longitudinal channels and 2 transverse channels, it is possible to measure the length of the 5 fingers of the hand, the width and length of the palm of the hand, width and length total hand, and wrist diameter.

A preferred method of measuring 10 measurements of a right hand (P1) using a manual anthropometer for simultaneous obtaining of the measurements of the hands (1) is described in detail by enumerating the steps to be executed in the order indicated.

Stage a Measure (7) longitudinal measurements.

The preferred method of measuring 10 measurements of a left hand (P2) using a manual anthropometer to simultaneously obtain the measurements of the hands (1) is analogous to that described for the right hand (P1).

The index finger butt slider (261) does not have a scale to indicate its measurement, so that it is mechanically connected, through the interior of the frame (10) that is hollow, with a duplicated index finger butt slider (261 ' ), and that it does have a fixed graduated scale (251).

The indicator (220) indicates on a scrollable graduated scale (221) the measurement of the length 10 of the major finger (M07), and by mechanical connection with a duplicated stop slider (220 ') indicates on a fixed graduated scale (251) the total hand length (M02).

Also in these views, the operation of a scrollable graduated scale can be appreciated, with the example of the scrollable graduated scale (221) and its actuation 15 by the index finger stop slider (261). To solve the technical problem of how to measure the length of the fingers with respect to the birth of the fingers, the sliding scale has been devised. The zero of said scale is mechanically connected with a stop slider, so moving the stop slider moves the zero of the scale. In this way the measurement of the indicator is referenced from the stop.

In Fig. 7A, in a small hand the fingertips actuate the indicators (210, 220).

In Fig. 7B, in a larger hand, to give way to one of the fingers, the indicator (210) moves transversely, due to the pressure exerted by the finger.

In Fig. 7C, the mechanism inside an indicator that allows its transverse displacement can be seen. It consists of a sliding assembly (213), to allow longitudinal displacement, and a left (214) and right (215) spring. When one finger is pressed, a spring stretches and the other contracts, allowing it to pass.
