DESCRIPCIONDESCRIPTION
Etiqueta autoadhesivaSelf-adhesive label
The present invention relates to a self-adhesive label with a sheet coated on both sides.
Self-adhesive labels of this type are already known by the state of the art and are mainly used for multi-use beverage bottles, which are decorated again after removing old labels. For this, the labels consisting of a substrate and an adhesive in washing facilities are removed. Optimally, the process of separation of the labels will take place without residues and in a reproducible way, to be able to refill the bottles of multiple uses after cleaning and provide them with new labels. Label materials are known that contract under the effect of heat in the wash waters and, by this contraction process, are separated from the multi-use bottle. Known label materials are composed of either contralble materials, such as, for example, poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) or poly (vinylidene chloride) (PVC) or of a composite material of different layers, which they have in each case different coefficients of thermal dilatation. As a result of the contraction of the self-adhesive labels triggered by the effect of heat ("Curl-Effekt '), the respective label is separated from the surface of the multi-use bottle. The separation of the labels is favored because the washing waters They penetrate areas that have already separated from the surface of multi-use bottles.
It should be noted that the self-adhesive labels known at the moment, disadvantageously, cannot be completely separated without residues from the multi-use bottle, so that some multi-use bottles have to be subsequently washed separately to completely remove the bottles the adhesive attached.
Ace! same, physical limits are established to the contraction forces of the self-adhesive labels, so a complete withdrawal of the labels requires relatively much time, since the adhesive force, which maintains the label on the multi-use bottle, and the force of contraction that separates the label from the surface of the multi-use bottle, differ only slightly. In this way corresponding costs of the washing process are generated.
Therefore, it is the objective of the present invention to create a self-adhesive label that separates quickly and without residue and that can be removed from a multi-use bottle or other surface.
This objective is achieved by the self-adhesive label according to revindication 1. According to the invention, the self-adhesive label has a layer on the front side, which contracts with the effect of heat, and a back layer, which expands with the heat effect
Preferred embodiments of the present invention are indicated below, as! as in the dependent claims.
According to a first preferred configuration, it is provided that the front side layer is a lacquer of a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). This material has proved to be especially suitable for self-adhesive labels according to the invention and is applied by means of a lacquering or in-line equipment in a gravure equipment on the self-adhesive labels.
According to a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the back layer is a lacquer that is composed of a polyvinylidene chloride coating (PVDC coating). This coating preferably has a high percentage of plasticizer and expands especially well with the corresponding heat absorption.
The coated sheet is composed, in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention, of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or poly (lactic acid) (PLA). These materials can be coated in a particularly suitable manner with the substances mentioned above, so that a high quality self-adhesive label is created together.
As an alternative to this, the sheet can also be composed of unmixed packaging material, which meets the requirements of unmixed recycling and is optionally biologically degradable. Preferably, it is configured transparently or opaquely and has a thickness of 10 pm to 120 pm, preferably 30 pm to 60 pm. In addition, the self-adhesive labels have a density <1,000 kg / m3, so that after the separation process in the washing waters the flotation is considerably simplified and therefore the treatment of residues in the washing waters, since the labels separate, floating, can be removed from the surface of the wash waters and not deposited down in the water bath, where they may slightly clog a possible drain.

In order to further improve the residue-free separation process of the self-adhesive label, according to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the back adhesive layer softens thermoplastically with the effect of heat, thereby decreasing its adhesive strength to a product, on which a self-adhesive label has been applied. From a temperature of approximately 50 to 60 ° C, the adhesive strength of the glue to the surface of the product is less than the contraction force of the label material. If the label has been separated and the adhesive coating has been moistened for a longer period of time with the washing waters, the adhesive force is reduced as the separated labels can no longer stick together in the washing installation. For this, the adhesive layer preferably has alkali soluble tackifying agents, which dissolve in the wash waters. Thus, a non-adhesive binder matrix remains on the back side of the labels. As an alternative to this, as an adhesive system, a starch or dextrin based adhesive can also be used, which dissolves in the basic range and precipitates in a non-polluting manner in the washing solution and can be pressed as a solid body.
The adhesive layer is preferably applied over the entire surface or in a pattern. For this, the adhesive layer can be applied, for example, in autotlipic structures (grid, points, surfaces or elements) or in a linear way in a longitudinal or transverse direction, to facilitate the washing solution access to the adhesive side, provided that the Self-adhesive label is already separated in partial areas of the surface of the multi-use bottle.
Muestran:A specific embodiment of the present invention is explained below by means of the Figures. They show:
Figure 2 a schematic representation of the separation process.
According to a first specific embodiment of the present invention, the self-adhesive label 1 has a 4-layer structure, which is more accurately represented in the detail cut. The self-adhesive label 1 has a sheet coated on both sides 2, the front side 3 being composed of a contralble material. On the back side, the sheet 2 is provided with a lacquer 4 of a water-based polyvinylidene coating. This coating has the physical property of expanding with the effect of heat, which positively favors the "Curl-Effekt". In this way, the self-adhesive label 1 can be applied on a multi-use bottle, it has on its back side a layer of self-adhesive 5, in which alkali-soluble sticking agents 6 are arranged.
A self-adhesive label of this type can be separated in an especially suitable manner and without residues with the described procedure, since they positively favor the contraction forces and dilatation forces of the respective coatings. Figure 2 shows in a schematic representation this separation process, in which a self-adhesive label 1 separates with the effect of heat 21 from a multi-use bottle 22. In this sense, the edge surfaces 23 are first separated, 23 'of the self-adhesive label 1, so that the washing liquid 24, 24' can penetrate the intermediate zones 25, 25 ', where the separation process is favored. After the separation process, the self-adhesive label 1, which has a density <1,000 kg / m3, floats on the washing waters, and can therefore be removed without problems.
