Complemento alimenticio que comprende aminoácidos y al menos un mineral, en el que a) el contenido en aminoácidos consiste en leucina, isoleucina, valina, treonina, lisina, y opcionalmente triptófano y/o taurina; y b) el contenido en minerales comprende al menos cromo.

una composición alimenticia tal como un pienso, una bebida, una forma de dosificación, un alimento funcional, un pienso funcional, un producto farmacéutico o un medicamento.
Las composiciones alimenticias según la invención pueden prepararse mediante técnicas convencionales, incluyendo, por ejemplo, mezclar el complemento alimenticio de la invención con al menos un componentes comestible o farmacéuticamente aceptable, o, alternativamente, mezclando el complemento alimenticio, junto con uno o más de dichos componentes comestibles o farmacéuticamente aceptables, opcionalmente seguido por llevar la composición alimenticia obtenida a una forma deseada mediante técnicas convencionales.
La composición alimenticia de la invención puede fabricarse mediante la adición del complemento alimenticio de la invención a una o más fases adecuadas en la producción.
En un cuarto aspecto la invención se refiere al complemento alimenticio o la composición alimenticia para su uso en el tratamiento, el control o la prevención de enfermedades o estados relacionados con síndrome metabólico, diabetes u obesidad o en la promoción de saciedad, pérdida de peso o el mantenimiento de un peso corporal deseado.
Ejemplos de este uso son el uso para reducir la liberación de insulina, mejorar la sensibilidad a la insulina (aumentada) y/o resistencia a la insulina (reducida).
El complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia de la invención también puede usarse para personas tales como aquellas con capacidad secretora de insulina y/o resistencia a la insulina reducida tal como pacientes con diabetes tipo 2, personas con tolerancia a la glucosa alterada, sujetos en un estado catabólico (posoperatorio, ancianos, anorexia nerviosa) y puede usarse en nutrición entérica. Además, el complemento alimenticio y/o composición alimenticia de la invención es adecuado para su uso en atletas que se recuperan de un ejercicio extenuante.
Este aspecto de la invención se refiere además a un complemento alimenticio o a la composición alimenticia de la invención para su uso en la promoción de saciedad, reducción del hambre, control del apetito y en la pérdida de peso o el mantenimiento de un peso corporal deseado.
El complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia de la invención puede ingerirse antes de o durante la fase inicial de la comida en sujetos, tales como sujetos con diabetes tipo 2 o intolerancia a la glucosa. Debido a la rápida estimulación de la liberación de insulina, es posible ajustar el momento para que coincida con el efecto requerido. En una realización el complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia se ingiere antes de una comida. Por ejemplo entre 1 hora y 5 min antes de una comida tal como 45 min, 30 min, tal como 20 min, 15 min, 10 min antes de una comida. En otras realizaciones el complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia se ingiere junto con la comida. El complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia también puede ingerirse después de una comida, o tal como se necesite después de una comida. Los ejemplos incluyen inmediatamente después, o 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 min después de la comida. En otras realizaciones el complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia puede ingerirse por ejemplo una vez al día, o varias veces al día, tal como con cada comida.
En un aspecto adicional la invención se refiere al complemento alimenticio de la invención o la composición alimenticia de la invención para su uso en combinación con productos farmacéuticos dirigidos al tratamiento, control
o prevención de enfermedades o estados relacionados con síndrome metabólico, diabetes u obesidad o en la promoción de saciedad, pérdida de peso o el mantenimiento de un peso corporal deseado.
En una realización adicional, la presente invención se refiere al complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia según la presente invención para su uso en la modificación de la respuesta glucémica a la comida en seres humanos o mamíferos que están sanos, en riesgo de, o que padecen una o más enfermedades relacionadas con la regulación de la insulina.
En un aspecto adicional de la presente invención se refiere al complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia según la invención, para su uso en el tratamiento, el control o la prevención de enfermedades o estados asociados con síndrome metabólico o de resistencia a la insulina. Los ejemplos de enfermedad o estados asociados con la regulación de la insulina incluyen síndrome metabólico, resistencia a la insulina, diabetes, obesidad, o síntomas y estados asociados con estos trastornos. El uso puede ser por ejemplo mediante ingesta o administración oral y/o entérica, por ejemplo de una conjuntamente con las comidas.
En una realización adicional la presente invención se refiere al complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia de la invención para su uso en un método de tratamiento, que comprende administrar a un sujeto que necesita tal tratamiento una cantidad eficaz de un complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia de la invención en una forma de dosificación adecuada. En una realización, las dosis se toman junto con, o poco antes, por ejemplo 15 minutos antes, de las comidas principales, por ejemplo por la mañana, al mediodía y por la noche. Aún una realización adicional de la presente invención es el complemento alimenticio o composición alimenticia de la invención para su uso en la promoción de saciedad, el control del apetito o la pérdida de peso o en el mantenimiento

EJEMPLO 2: Yogur probiótico
Se mezclaron 2,5 dl de yogurt que contenía un cultivo probiótico con el complemento alimenticio que contenía la 10 mezcla de aminoácidos y CrPic tal como se describe a continuación en la tabla 9. La cantidad total de aminoácidos añadidos fue de 9 g y de CrPic de 400 mg.

Se realizó el experimento usando un diseño de estudio idéntico al del ejemplo 1. Sólo las comidas de prueba y los sujetos de prueba diferían y por tanto se describen a continuación.

3.1 COMIDAS DE PRUEBA
Las comidas de prueba contenían un pan de trigo blanco (WWB) (Dollarfranska, Lockarps, Lockarp, Suecia), que contribuían con 50 g de almidón disponible. Se untó el pan con 10 g de mantequilla (Bregott, Arla, Estocolmo,
25 Suecia) y 24 g de mermelada de naranja (Onos Apelsinmarmelad, Procordia, Eslöv, Suecia). La bebida de prueba, un zumo de naranja, se sirvió junto con el pan. Una comida contenía el zumo con aminoácidos y CrPic (comida con 5AA+CrPic) y la otra contenía un zumo de referencia (comida de ref.). Se sirvieron 150 ml de zumo con cada comida y cada comida también contenía 100 ml de agua. La composición de macronutrientes de las diferentes comidas puede observarse en la tabla 10.

3.2 SUJETOS DE PRUEBA
13 sujetos sanos y no fumadores, 7 mujeres y 6 hombres, participaron voluntariamente en el estudio. Su intervalo de edad era de 40-60 años (54±5 años; media±s) y su índice de masa corporal estaba en el intervalo de 24-30 kg/m2
40 (27,8±2,2 kg/m2; media±s). Todos los sujetos tenían niveles de glucosa en sangre en ayunas normales (5,4±0,4 mmoles/l; media±s). Todos los sujetos participaron voluntariamente en el estudio y dieron su consentimiento informado. Los sujetos eran conscientes de que podrían retirarse del estudio en cualquier momento, con tal de desearlo. El estudio fue aprobado por el Comité de ética de la Facultad de medicina de la Universidad de Lund.
