Abstract
Se describe una celda electroquímica (20) que comprende una placa bipolar (26); un soporte anular junto a la placa bipolar (26); un primer electrodo (22) separado de la placa bipolar (26) definiendo junto con la misma y el soporte anular una primera semicelda (10) (catiónica o aniónica). La celda cuenta también con una membrana (23) junto al primer electrodo (22); un segundo electrodo (24) junto a la membrana (23); y un elemento de cierre (21) definiendo junto con el segundo electrodo (24) una segunda semicelda (10) (catiónica o aniónica dependiendo de la naturaleza del segundo electrodo). En la presente invención el elemento de cierre (21) se encuentra alojado dentro del soporte anular (25).
