Abstract
Una composición oral en forma de una pasta de dientes, dentífrico húmedo o dentífrico líquido que comprende un agente antimicrobiano catiónico y que comprende adicionalmente celulosa microcristalina y uno o más agentes tensioactivos seleccionados entre glucósido de alquilo y amida propil betaína de ácido graso, donde una cadena alquilo de una porción de ácido graso de la amida propil betaína de ácido graso tiene C8-C16 de longitud, para su uso en la potenciación de la capacidad de dicho agente antimicrobiano catiónico para residir sobre la superficie de un diente.

Polietilenglicol 5,0 Glicerina concentrada 10,0 Agua purificada resto
La composición oral obtenida tenía una excelente capacidad de retención de forma y dispersabilidad en la cavidad oral, no cambiaba el sabor de un zumo después de cepillarse los dientes y tuvo una excelente estabilidad con el 15 tiempo.
EXPERIMENTOS
Método de experimento 20 Medición de la cantidad de cloruro de cetilpiridinio que reside sobre polvo de hidroxiapatita
Se sumergieron 50 mg de hidroxiapatita (DNA Grade Bio-Gel HTP; fabricado por BIO-RAD) en 2 ml de saliva humana, que se había esterilizado con rayos ultravioleta, a 37 grados centígrados durante 15 horas para permitir 25 que se formase una película artificial sobre una superficie de hidroxiapatita. Después de esto, se centrifugó una mezcla de hidroxiapatita y saliva humana (3000 rpm, 10 min) y se desechó el sobrenadante. Después, se sumergió la hidroxiapatita residual a 37 grados centígrados durante 15 minutos en 2 ml del sobrenadante de una suspensión diluida cuatro veces de cada una de las composiciones orales de los Ejemplos 14-18 (los Ejemplos 14, 15, 17 y 18 realizan la invención reivindicada) y los Ejemplos Comparativos 5-8, en los que se había incorporado el 0,3 % en 30 peso de cloruro de cetilpiridinio (CPC) y diversas cantidades y diversos tipos de agentes espesantes y agentes tensioactivos. Después, la mezcla se centrifugó (3000 rpm, 10 minutos) y se descartó el sobrenadante. Después, se añadieron 2 ml de agua destilada recién preparada al residuo, la mezcla se agitó y se centrifugó (3000 rpm, 10 min) y se descartó el sobrenadante. De nuevo, se añadieron 2 ml de agua destilada recién preparada al residuo, la mezcla se agitó y se centrifugó (3000 rpm, 10 minutos) y se descartó el sobrenadante. Después, se extrajo cloruro
35 de cetilpiridinio que se había adsorbido en hidroxiapatita con una solución de extracción como se describe a continuación, y una cantidad de cloruro de cetilpiridinio que residía sobre 50 mg de hidroxiapatita se midió cuantitativamente con cromatografía líquida de alto rendimiento. Los resultados se muestran en la Tabla 2.
La solución de extracción se preparó mezclando una solución en la que se habían disuelto 2,88 g de lauril sulfato de 40 sodio por 1 litro de tampón de citrato 0,02 M, pH 3 con acetonitrilo en una relación de 1:3.
