Abstract
Process for the preparation of heat curable coating materials, especially for electrical conductors, consisting essentially of adding small amounts, preferably from 0.01 to 5 percent by weight, of metal salts of an organic, cyclic or aromatic acid saturated or not, which acts as a catalyst to an insulating coating mass composed of 40 to 10 parts by weight of a polyester resin which is the esterification product of aromatic dicarboxylic acids with polyhydric alcohols, from 60 to 90 parts by weight of a solvent composed of a mixture of cresol and hydrocarbons with a boiling range of 135 to 250º C, finally heating the wire coated with said mass at a temperature, comprised between 260 and 500º C.
