Abstract
An automatic dosing device applicable to the neck of a container containing a liquid product, characterized in that it is constituted by a cylindrical body having an open upper end provided with a radial flange directed outwards and intended to fit tightly inside the neck of the container that contains the product to be dosed, said cylindrical body having in the closed bottom thereof a hollow projection directed axially upwards and ending in a small opening or communication hole between said cylindrical body and the interior of the container, said cylindrical body further having, near its upper or open end, several openings peripherally distributed around it and which are intended to receive corresponding radial protrusions of an inner tubular body which is thus concentrically held inside said cylindrical body, said inner tubular body having a closed upper end and an open lower end through which the projection of the bottom of said cylindrical body is loosely inserted, leaving an annular communication opening between the two bodies mentioned and the projections of said inner tubular body being hollow by means of which it is fastened to the cylindrical body, to establish communication between the interior thereof and the interior of the container containing the liquid product, such being the arrangement that, when inverting the container, the liquid contained therein passes through said radial projections hollow to the interior of the internal tubular body, ascending by the same until the level of the liquid reaches the height of the end of the projection of the bottom of the cylindrical body, closing the hole of the end thereof, thereby stopping the ascent of the liquid inside said body tubular, thus obtaining a dosed amount of liquid that, by inverting the container again, it falls to the bottom of the cylindrical body through the open end of the inner tubular body, from where it can be poured out when the container is inverted again.
