Abstract

An arrangement for sealing a door (10) which closes a baking oven muffle, with a sealing profile (1) composed of heat resistant elastomeric material, in particular silicone rubber, wherein the sealing profile (1) surrounds the region of the charging-opening of the baking oven at least on three sides and is detachably fixed under initial tension in the corner regions on the door (10) or on the muffle frame, characterized in that the sealing profile (1) has an approximately L-shaped cross-section with a notch (4) in one of the free arms (3) and emerging from the free end thereof, and in that the sealing profile (1) produced as a straight profile is clamped for the purpose of fixing in the corner regions, with its notch (4) in tongues (14) of upwardly bent sheet metal notches (11) of the baking oven door (10) or the muffle frame.
