Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparación de una emulsión de partículas de azufre elemental, comprendiendo dicho procedimiento las etapas de: (a) proporcionar una primera corriente que comprenda fertilizante de urea líquido, en donde la primera corriente tiene una temperatura en el intervalo de 60 °C a 200 °C; (b) proporcionar una segunda corriente que comprenda azufre elemental líquido, en donde la segunda corriente tiene una temperatura en el intervalo de 115 °C a 200 °C y (c) mezclar la primera corriente y la segunda corriente en un dispositivo de mezcla en presencia de un tensioactivo iónico multifuncional para formar una emulsión que comprenda partículas de azufre elemental que estén recubiertas con una capa del tensioactivo iónico multifuncional y estén dispersadas en el fertilizante, por lo cual se lleve a cabo la mezcla de la primera corriente y la segunda corriente a una temperatura mayor que 120 °C, pero a una temperatura de a lo sumo 150 °C, que mantenga el azufre elemental sustancialmente en forma líquida en el dispositivo de mezcla.
