Abstract

The device for securing a roof supported bracket 1 to a cross bar 3 of a motor vehicle luggage carrier, has a manually actuatable and eccentric cam 7 pivotally mounted on the walls of the bracket 1. Due to the eccentricity of the cam 7, an operative cylindrical surface 13 thereof is urged with a predetermined force against the cross bar 3 in the clamped position of the cam 7 whereas in the released position thereof it is located at a predetermined clearance from the cross bar 3.
