Abstract

Longitudinally displaceable pneumatic spring for a lockable lifting device for the infinitely variable adjustment of seats, table tops or the like, with an at least predominantly cylindrical housing from one end of which project coaxially a piston rod (10) and from its other end coaxially an actuating push rod (26) for longitudinal adjustment purposes, with, extending the housing (9) coaxially and enclosing the actuating push rod (26), a fixing portion for attachment to a hub provided on the seat or on the table top and with, disposed for displacement in the fixing portion (21) and adapted to abut the actuating push rod (26), a sliding member (27) comprising an axially screw-adjustable outer surface for substantially clearance free abutment on an actuating lever (35), characterised in that the sliding member (27) is non-rotatably guided in the fixing portion (21), for which purpose the sliding member (27) has, bearing on a guide face (34) of the fixing portion (21), a guide portion (33) of non-circular cross-section.
