Process for preparing a finely divided wax composition containing a herbicidal material, characterized in that it comprises dissolving or dispersing said herbicidal material in a molten paraffin wax; adding to the molten mixture a small amount of a dispersion agent soluble in the wax, or a dispersing agent and a solubilizing compound; mixing said mixture of molten wax-herbicide and dispersing agent, with hot water at a temperature slightly above the melting point of the wax; forming a dispersion of the molten wax composition in said water, and cooling said dispersion below the melting point of the wax, to obtain a suspension of finely divided particles of solid wax, containing the herbicide and the dispersing agent; dispersion, in water.
