Valona para carrete, caracterizada porque está constituida por un plato circular, con reborde periférico saliente por la cara exterior, que de su cara interior se deriva un cubo central cilíndrico, con leve conicidad en su pared interior provista de un dentado de surcos anulares, presentando asimismo este cubo unas entalladuras axiales regularmente distribuidas, por lo que un núcleo cilíndrico introducido en el citado cubo es retenido por el mencionado dentado al ser ceñida la pared interior cónica del cubo bajo la flexión debida a la propia presión del bobinado dispuesto alrededor de la pared exterior.
