Abstract
Process for the production of heat-developer two-component diazotype paper, containing a light-sensitive diazonium benzene compound, an azo coupling component, an acid reaction component, the small amount of water commonly used, and a fusible material acid neutralizer, the latter material being separated from the layer containing the diazo compound by means of an intermediate layer, the method being characterized in that paper is successively coated with a) an open-structure light-sensitive layer containing in addition to the compound diazo, the azo coupling component, and the acid reaction compound, an amount of 1 to 6 grams/m 2 of a thermoplastic, high molecular weight polymerized substituted vinyl compound, which is applied from an aqueous dispersion; b) a thin layer of hydrophobic thermoplastic film having a weight not exceeding 4 g/m2, the layer of which separates the acid-neutralizing material from the light-sensitive layer, but transmits this material after heating and in which layer there is present a polymeric substance selected from the group consisting of hydrophobic polymerized substituted vinyl compounds and hydrophobic cellulose derivatives, the layer of which is formed on the dry, light sensitive layer from a solution of the polymeric substance in a solvent in the that do not dissolve, or only dissolve slightly, the diazo compound, the azo coupling component and the acid reaction substance from the light sensitive layer; and c) a light transmissive layer that is dry and solid at room temperature and containing a charge as well as an organic acid-neutralizing material that melts below 100º C, and which is selected from the group consisting of non-aromatic organic amines , non-volatile or only slightly volatile, and by the salts of these amines with weak acids.
