Abstract

Device for controlling the opening of a lock, especially a motor-vehicle door lock, comprising a locking mechanism intended for blocking a latch (4) in its opening and closing positions, and an electromechanical device (30, 32) for controlling this mechanism in order to open the lock, which are connected by means of a sliding coupling member (24) shifted by the electromechanical device and connected to an articulated bolt (16) of the locking mechanism, the control device comprising a screw (32) driven in rotation by an electric motor (30) and engaged with a gear wheel (34) which shifts a dog (42) coming up against a stud (26) of the sliding coupling member (24), and being characterized in that it possesses mechanical means (38 to 54) for making a drive connection (34) between the dog (42) and the gear wheel solely during the angular travel of the latter corresponding to the shift of the slide (24) between its lock closing and opening positions, this connection being broken completely as a result of the end-of-travel shift of the slide (24) towards its opening position and being restored as a result of the end-of-travel shift of the slide reaching the closing position.
