Abstract

A device for coupling adjacent line circuit-breaker poles, earth-leakage current protection switches or earth-leakage current components has a coupling element (40) which trips the one pole, driven by the latching mechanism of the other, adjacent pole, which has a trip and ratchet lever (19, 21) which together form a latching point, and which coupling element (40) reaches through in each case one opening (51, 52) in the adjacent side walls (54) of the pole. So that the coupling element cannot be lost, it is mounted without any play on the ratchet lever (21a) of the one pole. The coupling element (40) engages, with play, with the ratchet lever (21b) of the other pole.
