Abstract

A mounting for a leaf spring of composite, fibre-reinforced plastics, material, comprising for example an injection moulded plastics element (13) embracing the spring, contained by a mounting structure (14, 15) engaging bearing surfaces of the element (13) with the interposition of elastomeric material (16, 17). The bearing surfaces may be part-cyclindrical so the spring is held for limited pivotal movement about a transverse axis. Alternatively the element may be integral with the spring (21), and may afford frusto-conical bearing surfaces (22, 23).
