Abstract

1. A protective helmet comprising a headband (25) surrounding the head and a suspended lining (3), characterized in that between the headband (25) and the crown (1) a support is interposed that consists in combination : of a band (4) that is fixed to the interior of the crown (1) and extends over the front face and the two side faces of the latter, and of a rear component (15) that, fixed in the rear portion of the crown (1), comprises three branches, one of which is a central branch (18) equipped with fixing means for the headband (25), and two are lateral branches (17) comprising on one hand means to fix the rear component into the crown (1) and on the other hand means to fix pads (30) for the nape of the neck.
