Abstract

An electric storage battery installation including an electric storage battery 11 having at least one hold down rib 22 of a first predetermined height, a battery supporting platform 14 and an associated battery clamping arrangement 17, the clamping arrangement 17 being dimensioned to co-operate with a hold down rib 22 of a second predetermined height greater than said first predetermined height, and a hold down rib conversion piece releasably mounted on the battery or the clamping arrangement, the conversion piece accommodating the difference between said first and second predetermined heights so that hold down rib and said clamping arrangement co-act by way of the conversion piece. The invention further resides in a battery, a clamp arrangement, and a conversion piece.
