Abstract

Válvula de bola, del tipo que se constituye de un conducto de entrada y otro de salida coaxiales y un alojamiento central en el que se dispone giratoriamente desplazable el obturador esférico que asienta sobre cada uno de los referidos conductos por interposición de las correspondientes juntas de asiento, caracterizada porque el cuerpo de válvula se encuentra abierto por su parte superior para permitir el montaje del obturador y las juntas siendo dicha abertura cerrada por una tapa, y porque el obturador presenta una zona de cierre constituida por una zona esférica central, la cual en su posición cerrada presiona sobre las juntas de asiento comprimiéndolas y dos zonas esféricas laterales entre la zona central y los extremos del paso, teniendo dichas zonas un radio mayor que el de la central y los centros desplazados, de forma que su superficie externa coincide con las superficies de asiento de las juntas, por lo que cuando la válvula está abierta, estas no están prisionadas.
