Abstract

1. Un miembro de obturación para ramificaciones de cables, destinado a utilizarse con un material en lámina termoencogible que tiene un adhesivo de fusión en caliente en una superficie y que está enrollado en torno a dos cables paralelos, muy próximos, con la superficie de adhesivo mirando hacia los cables, estando un extremo del material en lámina recogido y sujeto entre los cables, a un lado de éstos, generalmente a lo largo de una línea tangente a la periferia de los cables, para crear un bucle de material termoencogible entre los cables, cuyo miembro de obturación de cables mantiene a las dos capas de material en lámina juntas mientras éste es calentado y encogido, para crear un cierre estanco en torno a los cables que comprende una lengüeta alargada que se estrecha suavemente en su extremo delantero para inserción en el bucle de material en lámina termoencogible, teniendo dicha lengüeta a una anchura mayor que la separación entre los cables para puntear las periferias de éstos y estando arqueada centralmente respecto a su anchura a todo lo largo de ella, para hacer que las dos capas de material termoencogible se arqueen hacia fuera, generalmente a media distancia entre los cables, y una cola estrecha conectada al extremo trasero de dicha lengüeta, en general a media distancia respecto a su anchura y que se extiende perpendicular a la longitud de dicha lengüeta para penetrar en el espacio comprendido entre los cables a fin de mantener la separación existente entre éstos y mantener a dicha lengüeta generalmente centrada entre los cables cuando el material termoencogible es calentado y encogido, estando formada dicha cola a lo largo de un eje paralelo a su longitud con unas superficies lisas para contacto con los cables. 2. Un miembro de obturación según la reivindicación 1, en el que dicha lengüeta tiene unas muescas a lo largo de ambos bordes longitudinales para ayudar a mantener dicha lengüeta en el bucle de material termoencogible cuando se calienta éste. 3. Un miembrode obturación según la reivindicación 1, en el que un sujetador está conectado al extremo trasero de la citada lengüeta, y está plegado hacia atrás sobre dicha lengüeta, para sujetar las dos capas de material termoencogible en lámina entre dicha lengüeta y dicha parte plegada hacia atrás del citado sujetador. 4. Un miembro de obturación según la reivindicación 3, el cual se ha estampado y formado a partir de una chapa metálica. 5. Un miembro de obturación para ramificaciones de cables.
