SOLERA, ESPECIALMENTE PARA HORNOS DE ARCO ELECTRICO DE CORRIENTE CONTINUA, CON UN ELECTRODO DE GRAFITO CENTRICO QUE ENTRA EN EL RECIPIENTE DEL HORNO Y CON VARIAS VARILLAS METALICAS O DE ACERO DE POSICION COAXIAL E INTRODUCIDAS EN LA SOLERA, CUYOS EXTREMOS EXTERIORES ESTAN COGIDOS POR UNA PLACA FUNDAMENTAL DE ACERO DE LA CAMISA METALICA DEL HORNO, CARACTERIZADA PORQUE LA SOLERA POR LO MENOS EN LA ZONA DE LAS VARILLAS DE ACERO O DE LA PLACA DE ACERO RESP. TIENE UNA CAPA SUPERIOR DEL LADO DEL FUEGO DE MAGNESIA QUE CONTIENE CROMOXIDO, Y UNA CAPA INFERIOR DE GRAFITO ORGANICAMENTE ENLAZADA ASI COMO UNA CAPA INTERMEDIA MEZCLADA DE AMBOS MATERIALES.
