Abstract
Un aparato auditivo, para la reeducación del oído de los sordos, que esencialmente se caracteriza por estar formado por una envolvente hueca acodada, uno de cuyos brazos en forma de ocho abultado, presenta una faceta plana, y sirve para sujetarlo por suave presión y encaje contra las paredes laterales de la cavidad central del pabellón de la oreja; este brazo hueco y abultado presenta en su extremo una serie, variable, de rendijas laterales por donde penetran las ondas sonoras que hacen vibrar a una lengüeta o laminilla interior, la cual refuerza su volumen y las envía a lo largo del brazo menor, que es tubular y con un orificio terminal para proyectarlas sobre el tímpano; o sea que este aparato, además de actuar de trompetilla, sirve para someter a un masaje sostenido al tímpano devolviéndole su elasticidad.
