Una pantalla de filtro destinada particular mente para su utilización en una prensa separadora de alta presión, por ejemplo, una prensa de cacao, en la que una o más capas de material filtrante son colocadas en la cara frontal de una placa de prensa con ranuras circulares, cuya pantalla de prensa es fijada a dicha cara frontal por medios de fijación, por ejemplo un cordón presionado en torno a la pantalla de filtro dentro de un rebajo circular de sección transversal trapezoidal, caracterizada porque la capa o capas de material filtrante están enmarcadas en una anillo de metal dotado de una corona periférica, cuyo diámetro interior difiere del diámetro interior del anillo según un valor que es esencialmente la mitad de la diferencia entre el diámetro del círculo inicial de la ranura exterior y el diámetro interior del anillo.
