Abstract
A process for obtaining new polyester plasticizers for polyvinyl chloride and its derivatives, essentially characterized by the fact that it consists of introducing in a suitable reactor or boiler, equipped with a heating and stirring system, previously weighed quantities of a mixture of monoalcohols and dicarboxylic acids and in adding to this mixture, by stirring, a certain amount of glycol, with or without catalyst; in connecting the temperature to the reactor, maintaining the stirring and bubbling through the mixture a stream of inert gas, carbon or nitrogen, gradually raising the temperature until no more water is released from esterification and the acid number of the mixture is approach as near as possible to zero, applying if necessary, empty; the mixture is cooled, stirring is stopped and the product is emptied from the reactor.
