Abstract

An annular magnetic core has an outer diameter of not more than 4 mm., a value of uV1/dV z greater than 4À0 (measured with a disturbance ratio of 0À61), temperature coefficients for uV1 of not more than 0À8% per C. and for Tp of not more than 0À2% per C. (in the range 0 to 80 C.), a switching time of at most 1À5 Á secs. and has the composition where 0À007 < x < 0À054 3À9 < y < 4À1 The cores are made by pressing and sintering in air or air plus oxygen the mixed metal oxides or equivalent compounds on a platinum or platinum rhodium support. Examples are given with values of uV1/dV z up to 8À1. (uV1 and dV z are maximum values of undisturbed one signal and disturbed zero signal, respectively, and Tp is the time interval between the instant at which the control current reaches 10% of its maximum value and the instant at which the output voltage becomes a maximum. The control pulse rise time was 0À25 Á sec.)
