Abstract

A ploughing attachment similar to that described in Specification 953,985 is provided with a shaft 4 that is rotated by raising a lever 24 which co-operates with links 19 pivotally mounted on a lever 17 attached to a shaft 11 carrying cranks 12 attached to the lower links of a tractor. A roller 27 carried by links 19, is retained in engagement with a cam surface 25 of the. lever 24 by means of the force of a compression spring 62 mounted on a guide 58 acting against a swivel mounting 59. A plough mounted on the attachment is rotated as described in the parent Specification by the raising of the linkage A, B which raises lever 24, and as lever 39 approaches dead centre the compression in spring 61 becomes greater than that in spring 62, so that the roller is forced out of engagement with the cam surface. The plough continues its rotation until the lever 24 engages with a stop 29. When the lift linkage is lowered and a draught force exerted on the plough, the shaft 11 will rotate causing the roller to slide up the forward face of the lever 24 and re-engage in the position shown.
