A pump for a servomechanism for automobiles comprising a box having an inlet and outlet and a pump chamber therebetween, a rotor in said box having a peripherally notched surface, skid means supported by said rotor on said peripherally notched surface , said skate means being free to oscillate and to move alternately in the notched portion of the rotor by following the contour of the wall of a contiguous bore constituted by the pump chamber, characterized by the improvement consisting of a linearly movable spool valve. in said pump outlet having a hole formed therein through which the fluid is discharged under pressure by said pump, means for loading the valve to the closed position, said reel valve having protrusions and recesses formed to open the valve against the loading means to divert the excess discharge of the pump to said pump inlet in function of the speed of the pump, and means that additionally open said spool valve as a function of the linear displacement of said valve in said pump outlet thus reducing the back pressure on the pump at higher operating speeds when the demand is small.
