Abstract

Process for spraying viscous emulsions containing one or more agricultural chemicals, which comprises: introducing continuously into a container independent currents of an oily phase and an aqueous phase, being between 1:50 and 1: 3 the volume ratio between the oily and aqueous phase; let the phases mix in the container; letting the resulting emulsion exit through an exit port of the container, as quickly as it is formed inside; and directing the emulsion over an area that is the target; one or both phases containing one or more agricultural chemicals, and one or both phases containing one or more emulsifiers or emulsifier systems selected from the group consisting of: (a) an emulsifier system (A) consisting of an amine having the formula R1 R2 NR, where R represents a hydrocarbon group containing from 10 to 20 carbon atoms, and R1 and R2, individually, represent a methyl or ethyl group, in admixture with an aliphatic acid containing from 8 to 20 carbon atoms, or with a mono- or dicarboxylic aromatic acid containing from 7 to 20 carbon atoms; (b) an emulsifying system (B) consisting of a condensation product of a primary aliphatic amine, saturated or unsaturated, containing from 10 to 20 carbon atoms in the aliphatic chain, with a molar ratio of 1 to 5 times higher of ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide, in admixture with an aliphatic acid containing from 8 to 20 carbon atoms, or with a mono- or dicarboxylic aromatic acid containing from 7 to 20 carbon atoms; (c) an emulsifier (C) which is a condensation product of an amide of an aliphatic acid containing from 10 to 20 carbon atoms, with a molar ratio of 1 to 5 times greater than ethylene oxide and/or propylene; (d) an emulsifying system (D) consisting of a condensation product as specified in (b), in admixture with a condensation product as specified in (c); (e) an emulsifier (E) which is a condensation product of a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic alcohol, containing from 10 to 20 carbon atoms, or an alcoholylphenol or alkylcresol containing from 6 to 9 carbon atoms in the radical alkyl, with a molar ratio of 2 to 7 times higher than ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide; and (f) an emulsifier (F) which is a partial ester of an aliphatic acid, saturated or unsaturated, containing from 10 to 20 carbon atoms, with a polyvalent alcohol or a polyvalent alcohol ether.
