Abstract
Apparatus for moulding large concrete panels comprises a framework 1 between the parallel tracks 2 of which is located a series of movable moulds 16, 17 and a fixed mould 12. The mould 17 is connected to a gantry 8 movable to and fro along rails 3 to bring the moulds together at the start of an operating cycle and to separate them at the end of a cycle. Rods 15 extending from a plate 13 pass through the moulds during casting to clamp them together A servicing platform 6 accessible by a stairway 20 is located at the side of the framework. The gantry 8 is moved by a motor 43 through a rack and pinion gearing. During moulding the adjacent moulds are interconnected byhooks 34. The moulds have heating pipes and the moulded panels are separated from the mould walls by compressed air.
