Abstract

In a door frame assembly comprising a main frame structure 1, 2, 3 for fixing into a wall or partition and of metallic section adapted to receive a frame lining 7 comprising at least the two uprights fixable to the main frame jambs 6 by screws 11 passing through the uprights 7, each jamb and head rail of the main frame is provided with a rib 10 formed so as to provide a slot, e.g. at 103 which is threaded to receive the fixing screws 11. The rib is shaped to provide opposed channels 104 which accommodate the edges of the split tubular strut bars 5. The adjacent ends of the jambs and head rail are cut at right angles to their lengths and are assembled by the use of a square engaging in the rib of each of the adjacent sections (Fig. 5).
