Abstract
Chlorine-containing polymers, particularly PVC, are plasticized with bis (1,3-dimethylbutyl) phthalate. The vinyl chloride may be homopolymerized or copolymerized with a diene, vinyl ester, acrylate ester, unsaturated dicarboxylic ester or vinyl aromatic. In examples there are also added epoxidized soya bean oil and a barium/cadmium/zinc stabilizer.
