Abstract
Process for the continuous production of carbon sulphide by reaction in gas phase of sulfur on propane, characterized by contacting sulfur and propane in a sulfurization reactor, at a temperature of 550 to 850ºc, for 0.1 to 20 seconds and in the absence of any catalyst, and then condensed and recycled unreacted sulfur, while carbon sulfide, after separating the three gaseous compounds by the known techniques of condensation and absorption-desorption, is purified by distillation.
