Abstract
An epoxy resin composition which cures on exposure to moisture comprises: (1) an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups per molecule (2) a primary polyamine carbamate and (3) a hydroxide compound activator which is an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or ammonium hydroxide. (2), which may be prepared by reacting the corresponding amine with CO 2 may have the structure: and where R is an alkylene radical or a divalent aromatic or heterocyclic radical. The compositions may be hardened by exposure to a moist atmosphere, coating on to a moist substrate or by mixing with water. Conventional fillers, pigments and dyes may be present.
