Abstract
A dentifrice comprises a water-soluble fluoride compound, a compatible solid waterinsoluble dental polishing material and a flavouring agent including the residue of an essential oil which has been substantially freed from hydrocarbon terpenes and which contains oxygenated components having ten carbon atoms each of which is directly bound to at least one other carbon atom in a terpenic structure, the dentifrice having a pH of 3.8 - 5.8.
