Abstract

An air cushion vehicle has a skirt formed by an upper inflatable part 12 secured to the structure 11 and formed with apertures 17, 19 for supplying cushion air, and a lower part formed by individual and contiguous U-section fingers 15 attached wholly (or in part, not shown) to the part 12. For optimum operating efficiency desirable proportions are specified for the finger members in which their height is between 30% and 75%, and preferably 45% to 55% of the total height of the assembly formed by parts 12 and 15, and their width between one quarter and one half their height.
